Guest Services Team Leader Position **Immediate Start**

Salary: £24,200 per annum

Full Time: Permanent – 40 Hours a week, no split shifts, Christmas Shutdown.

Working pattern: 7am to 3pm or 11am to 8pm (5 days over 7)

We are a charitable organisation going through an exciting period of change as we prepare for the opening of our new Visitor Centre and Tearoom in March 2024.

Main Duties and Responsibilities to include:

• As your team are the people to deliver our guests experience you will set the tone for greeting guests and making them feel at home during their stay.
• As part of the management team building great relationships with the wider teams, liaising with the kitchen and hospitality team to provide an overall seamless guest experience. We are not a big organisation so you will get to know everyone.
• You'll support with the leading and training of all team members and be responsible for ensuring everything is set up to specified requirements, following the function sheet provided, and reviewing the standard operating procedures.
• A hands-on position where you are expected to not only manage the small team but also work alongside them to implement standards and drive consistency.
• Co-ordinate communications between guests and departments to ensure everything is dealt with in a timely manner.

What we’re looking for:

· Minimum of 1-year supervisory experience would be ideal. We will also support with a full training plan.

· Natural hospitality charm and the ability to build great rapport with guests creating a team that want to be their best.

· You will have high standards & genuinely want to make guests smile with great attention to detail.

· Own transport required – located Ampleforth

Ampleforth Abbey is set in the Howardian Hills with a beautiful view from most of our offices. We are a charitable organisation and currently embarking on an exciting project to renovate our Visitor Centre, Shop & Tearoom. The Abbey Church continues to be open for our visitors and our orchard is one of the largest commercial orchards in the North of England. The Abbey Church continues to be open for visitors and our retreat centre welcomes guests from all over the world.
