On Sunday 7th July the annual Struggle Moors event will be taking place, starting at Ampleforth Abbey.
Struggle Moors takes riders over 112 miles of challenging terrain among breathtaking Yorkshire Moors landscape. This route has been dubbed as one of the hardest sportives in the UK! It takes in 10,193ft over five climbs including ‘Glaisdale Horror’ and Rosedale Chimney at mile 91. Entries will open at 12pm on Friday 1st February 2019!
Ampleforth Abbey supplies the stunning setting for the start and end of the race as well as onsite accommodation within the Grange and Guest House. The bonus of staying on site is you get a lie in and breakfast at 6am!
Growing year on year, Struggle Moors, how has it's own festival style base at Ampleforth, providing much needed refreshments for riders and bites to eat for the many spectators it attracts.
