This week saw the boarders making rafts down at Gilling Lakes. Led by qualified instructors from Tees Outdoors, the children started by learning how to tie ropes. Initially the children put ropes up between trees that had to be tied strong enough for the children to balance along them. Once they had mastered the rope tying the started raft building began before they were launched out on the lake. Not all the rafts survived the crossing with the children ending swimming in the lake.
