Making William’s wish come true with the Ampleforth Aeroberthon.
On Sunday 28th October 2018, here at the St Alban’s Sports Centre at Ampleforth we will be hosting an Aeroberthon to raise funds for a Hydrotherapy pool for William Chambers. William is 7 years old, uses a wheelchair, has cerebral palsy, developmental delay, epilepsy and is blind. The much-needed Hydrotherapy pool will help relax William’s tight muscles and stimulate his senses.
The four hour Aeroberthon will be led by local personal trainer, Emma Leonard, and will consist of four back-to-back one hour sessions that can be booked in a group or as individual sessions. So far, through a variety of fundraising activities, the family have raised in excess of £8,000 and they hope the Aeroberthon will raise the final funds needed to make William’s dream become a reality.
Jason Brown, Centre Manager, says: “we are very proud to be hosting this event to raise money for a very special little boy. We will be opening up our Sports Hall for the day and there will be plenty of space for participants and spectators – we hope to welcome as many people as possible to help William’s wish come true.”
Minimum sponsorship for individual sessions is £10 and £40 minimum for all four sessions – each completed session enters you into a free prize draw raffle too.
