- St Benedict's Day
On or around the Feast of St Benedict the College ceases its usual activities and comes together as a community focused on the significance of St Benedict. The day includes a time for students to spend time together in house and also as a whole school community - students, teachers and monks – for Mass. During the afternoon all students and staff take part in stewardship projects around campus; laying gravel paths, clearing undergrowth, planting bulbs or collecting rubbish.
- Chaplaincy Period
We benefit at Ampleforth from a dedicated Chaplaincy period once a fortnight which is placed during the school day and which enables students and staff alike to take time out from their busy schedules and come together in the celebration of Mass or maybe to listen to a speaker. This time is organised and run by each of the House Chaplains.
Twice a year the College gathers in the Abbey Church to join the monks for Compline.
- Advent Carol Service
The Advent Carol service marks the end of term at the College as Christmas time approaches. The Abbey Church is beautifully lit and students enjoy readings and hymns which anticipate the coming season.
