    On our return from the uplifting and moving Ampleforth Carol service at Corpus Christi, Covent Garden, the spirit and pluck of Ampleforth was epitomised by the Schola who sang carols to keep up the spirits of passengers stuck on the train for hours by damage to overhead cables. A video clip has gone viral (over 80,000 views to date!)

    On our return from the uplifting and moving Ampleforth Carol service at Corpus Christi, Covent Garden, a very special setting thanks to Father Alan and his parish team, the spirit and pluck of Ampleforth was epitomised by the Schola who sang carols from the service to keep up the spirits of passengers stuck for hours on our return train York, stranded from in the night by the failure of the overhead cables with the cold!

  • Successful Inspections

    Ofsted, the Catholic Schools Inspectorate, and HMC (the Heads Conference) have visited us this term and all were very pleased with what they found. We are particularly delighted to be graded ‘Outstanding’ in Personal Development (Ofsted) and ‘Outstanding’ in all nine judgements on the quality of Catholic life and mission, religious education and collective worship (Catholic Schools Inspection). Summary extracts from Ofsted’s and the Catholic Schools’ inspection reports are in the booklet below.
