Replica Lady Statue (unpainted)
The medieval Lady Statue in the Lady Chapel of the Abbey has delighted many visitors for many years. The original is 14th century, German, and like so many figures from before 1400 she has real character, half-smiling, reassuring. She has been copied in a studio in Madrid by craftsmen who normally work for the Prado, restoring and repairing renaissance and gothic wooden items. Each statue is carved from lime-wood, which resists cracking even in centrally heated environments, and is finished by hand. It is 25cm (10") tall. Sorry, TEMPORARILY OUT OF STOCK.

Replica Lady Statue (polychrome)
The same Madrid craftsmen were persuaded to produce a polychrome version of the replica of our Lady Statue. To create an authentically aged look requires skill and patience and time - hence the much higher price. The character of the original is faithfully reproduced here. This figure is also made of limewood, and stands 10" tall. TEMPORARILY OUT OF STOCK.
