The Lion Book of Best-Loved Prayers
by Mary Joslin. This is not, as the title might suggest, a collection of famous traditional prayers, but an imaginative offering from many sources. Many of these are explicitly based on scripture passages, others come from the saints, from traditions around the world, or are unattributed.

There are loose headings suggesting creation, sorrow and grieving, Christmas, Easter and Pentecost, and the Christian life. Every page is a picture on which the text sits. (Illustrator Angela Ruta). It is a large sized, hardback, 95pp.
