The Samuel Group

This is an Ampleforth initiative to help young men and women in their twenties to discern how they have been called by God. Founded by Fr Abbot at Easter 1998, it is organised by Fr Chad Boulton. Each Easter since then, a small group commit themselves to a year of trying to discover the will of God for them, meeting regularly at Ampleforth and in London.

It is a search for vocation either as a lay person or in religious life and is based on the work of Archbishop Martini of Milan, who has actively promoted this in his diocese. It is inspired by the Old Testament story of the young Samuel who heard the word of God and gradually understood what it meant. Fr Chad has adapted these ideas for this group in what is the first initiative of its kind in Britain.

Phone Fr Chad ( 01439 766711) or email him, or come to visit him this Easter!
