PATRICK WILLIAMS (O84) is joining Conde Nast.  He writes [3 April 2006] "After 14 years at The Economist, I have decided to move on. I am going to Conde Nast to help with a new business magazine that they are launching in Sept 2007 with a teaser issue in May 2007. My time at The Economist has been fantastic and I will miss being part of the team to bring us from a million to two million under Mickle and Andrew Rashbass. Thanks very much to everyone that I have worked with I have learnt so much it has been a lot of fun.

I do not imagine that my leaving will have the same ramifications as other recent departures. It will be a big change for me". [posted 3 April 2006]
