Terence Cronin-Coltsman was born in England in 1915. His parents died when he was very young. His aunt brought him and his sister to her home in Ireland, Barrettstown House, Newbridge, Co. Kildare. She was determined to get him a good Catholic education and decided to send him to Ampleforth College. He was in St Oswald's House, leaving in 1934. After his time in Ampleforth he joined the British Army. He resigned from the army in 1958 with the rank of major. He worked in the steel industry for a short time and then returned to Ireland to manage his Aunt's farm. He died on
11 April 2007 at St. Michael's Hospital, Dun Laoghaire.
