Fifteen Old Amplefordians were at St James’s Palace on 19 October 2004 to receive their Gold Awards.  After HRH The Duke of Edinburgh had chatted to the group, Sarah Webb, a 2004 Gold Olympic yachtswoman, presented their certificates individually.  Other guests for this occasion were the parents of the boys and Dr David Billett, the retired Award Unit Leader at Ampleforth.

Five Old Amplefordians were at St James's Palace on 17 March 2005 to receive their Gold Awards: Archie Crichton-Stuart (E02), Morgan Grant (O02), Anthony Mollinger (C03), Charlie Murphy (E02) and one other.
